The Korra finale was very emotional and thought-provoking. First off, I went to Thor: The Dark World before I saw the second half of the final episode, so my reaction was “Second harmonic convergence I’m seeing today…” Watch out. Thar be spoilers ahead: Second, I love Korra’s character development. I’ve been waiting for this for a while. She matured and learned a lot about her life decisions, which makes her a better person and Avatar all around, which brings me to my third point: The Makorra breakup. Now, I was an avid Makorra shipper. I’d shipped it since the sixth episode (also, on a side note, remember when people were shipping Korra with Yue? I wonder if that will be a thing now), so when Korra decided to break things off, my first reaction was “Whhhhyyyyy?” My second one was “Wait a minute, Korra ended this in a mature fashion, hooray for character development.” But then, she kissed him goodbye. Also, they said that they’d always love each other. To me, that doesn’t sound like a very convincing breakup. This made it confusing for me. Am I still shipping this? The answer still hangs in the balance. However, I can accept that they’re broken up in the canon. The third thing is, I’m soooo proud to have Jinora as my mini me. There was another thing I was upset about. Asami got zero screen time. I was so mad at that! Isn’t she a part of the new team? Even Desna and Eska got more screen time than she did. It was well-done though. My last question is: How do they continue this?
